Speakers Awards

Mangrove Tree Planting
This year, instead of presenting plaques, we are honoring each of our speakers with a living legacy. For every speaker, a mangrove tree will be planted in the United Arab Emirates.
Mangroves are a powerful symbol of sustainability and environmental responsibility. They protect coastlines, nurture marine biodiversity, and capture significant amounts of carbon dioxide—directly supporting the UAE’s Net Zero by 2050 strategy.
The trees will be planted at Al Zorah Nature Reserve, one of the country’s most important ecological sites. Delegates and speakers are invited to experience the reserve, learn about the mangrove ecosystem and its role in the UAE, and even enjoy a kayak or dragon boat trip through the waterways.
Due to tidal conditions, the planting itself will take place a couple of weeks before the Forum, but participants will still have the opportunity to visit the site and see the thriving mangroves that symbolize their contributions.
