Cultural and Social Events
Alongside the rich academic programme, the Forum offers a selection of memorable social events designed to foster connection, celebrate culture, and promote sustainability. Below are some of the unique experiences planned for this year’s gathering in Sharjah.

Welcome Reception and Early Registration
We are pleased to invite all delegates to our informal Welcome Reception, held at the stunning gardens of the conference hotel. This relaxed evening will provide a chance to connect with fellow attendees and enjoy light refreshments before the main programme begins. Early registration will be available on-site to streamline your conference experience.

Gala Dinner
This year’s Gala Dinner will be hosted at the exquisite Chedi Al Bait in Sharjah—a beacon of Emirati hospitality where Islamic architectural heritage blends seamlessly with refined modernity. Guests will enjoy a celebratory evening featuring traditional Arabic cuisine, curated entertainment, and a stunning setting that reflects the rich cultural tapestry of the region.

Mangrove Tree Planting
This year, we have decided to plant a tree for each of our speakers instead of giving a plaque. As we are based in the UAE, we will be planting a Mangrove tree in recognition of the contributions each of our speakers. As a symbol of sustainability and environmental responsibility, mangroves play a vital role in the UAE’s ecological landscape. They protect coastlines, support marine biodiversity, and capture significant amounts of carbon dioxide—contributing directly to the nation’s Net Zero by 2050 strategy The planting will take place in Al Zorah Nature Reserve. Speakers and delegates can join us and enjoy a visit to Al Zorah Nature Reserve, learn about trees themselves as well as the entire ecosystem and how it benefits the UAE, and take a Kayak or Dragon boat trip out to mangroves, before planting their tree.
