We believe that increasing the accessibility and visibility of research is key to ensuring the sustainability of scholarly ecosystems and research communities. Therefore, we are launching the Forum for Open Research in MENA (F.O.R.M.), a non-profit membership organisation for libraries, universities and research councils across the Middle East and North Africa.

Our vision is for a collaborative community which promotes the advancement of Open Research policies and practices across the region. Our goal is to help the evolution of strong, sustainable open research infrastructures in higher education institutions and research libraries.

Bringing together leading international experts and key regional stakeholders, F.O.R.M. encourages the exchange of actionable insights and facilitates the development of practical policies relating to Open Science.

In addition to our annual flagship Forum, F.O.R.M. members will also be able to attend our regular community development activities, including workshops from leading open-source solutions providers and webinars from open science experts, and make use of our library of practical guidelines, policy templates and other resources.

Together we will work towards a more Open MENA and a more knowledgeable world.
